Jacqueline Durran-costume designer

I'm a big fun of period films for many reasons,one of them is fashion;and by fashion i mean the costumes are special designed for the movie and not only travel us back to this period but also teach us fashion history.So this post is dedicated to one of my favorite costumes designers..

Jacqueline Durran is a British costume designer. She won the BAFTA award for Vera Drake. She received considerable attention for her work in Pride & Prejudice, for which she received an Oscar nomination and won a Satellite Award. She was nominated for Best Costume Design in the 80th Academy Awards for her work in Atonement.

in my grandmother's wardrobe

look what i found: a black leather bag & a silk red and dark blue scarf from 60s!!

you can call them vintage or retro,i call them my precious!

i was disappointed though when she told me she had more bags and thrown them away..at least i "saved" one of them..
